Butterfly Sofa Bean Bags
You wont be able to comprehend the support and comfort of this stunning 2-tone black XL bean bag. Has it got a solid structure inside? No ... it's filled with bean bag beans. Then how can it have such great support and shape? Well it's made with a special technique pioneered by Ambient Lounge which combines internal elastics and thick quilting, strong premium fabric and clever design. This is the ultimate affordable living room furniture that will give your contemporary space a modern feel. The fabric is very special too. As they say, when you go black, you will never look back.
The classic black is made fresh and contemporary due to the two tone texture with a slightly lighter deep charcoal fibre. Designed to go with almost any colour palate within your Interior space. See swatch for visual reference.
This has a lovely texture but is a heavyweight and very hard wearing fabric. It's a two tone rectangular weave with a slightly lighter black fabric to give it extra depth. A fabric that is made for high end sofas, the Black sapphire is too good to use on a bean bag sofa.
70% Polyester, 30% Acrylic, 25% Cotton, 610gm weight.

All our beautiful Ambient Lounge interiors fabrics are extremely high quality and built to last if we take good care of them. Here are some handy Care Tips:
If your open weave fabric thread becomes loose, simply cut it off. Do not pull it. Dust is best removed using your hand vacuum with the appropriate attachment. Avoid harsh brushing and sharp objects (rings, buckles, toys) as it may cause snagging of threads. To avoid your bean bag fading, it is best not to expose it to direct sunlight. For best safety, Your furniture should be placed at least 50cm away from any heat source. During the first 3-6 months, bead filling/padding will compress slightly and may require top up. This is to be considered as normal wear and a good reason why you should use the best quality beads such as our Ultra-Bead. As tempting as it may be, armrests & backrests are not designed to take seating weight so please try to sit as conventionally as possible. To keep your bean bag furniture looking amazing, you should plump and shake it after use to the bead filling and fabric return to their initial appearance.
Washing & Cleaning:
The good news is that all of our interior fabric covers are warm machine or hand washable in cold or lukewarm water. Please always line dry after washing. Decant the beads using the Funnelweb system before washing and refill afterwards. For ease of care you may also spot clean most stains and scuffs using warm water or a high quality fabric cleaning kit. Fabric protection kits are also encouraged such as 3M Scotch Guard.
Repairs and Warranty:
Like anything in life problems can occasionally occur. If seam splits or tearing occur with reasonable wear and time - please check with our Australian team if that is covered under statutory warranty. You may email our friendly team with photos of the problem plus proof of purchase on email@example.com or call 1300 707 121. (Most small faults or tears are also easily repairable)
Enjoy Ambient Loungin'!
WATCH: How to Fill a Butterfly Sofa with our Zip & Tip System
Filling a Butterfly Sofa is now recommended with around 350lt of our improved Ultra-Bead (depending on personal comfort levels).
Rec. Filling Instructions: First note that there are two filling compartments for the Butterfly Sofa design, one for the back and one for the base (seating area). It is recommended that the back compartment is filled nice & tight and the seating area is a little more loosely filled for best comfort & style. Always use Ambient Lounge safety locking zip tool or paper clip to open the child proof safety zips on the bean bag cover.
Step 1. Open back compartment & attach our 155 plus litres filling bag securely to the back compartment gusset first. Zip & tip letting gravity do most of the work and empty out all the beads. Fill back compartment as tightly as possible so that the Butterfly Sofa frame will be firm and supportive. To ensure that all beads compact inside, you should shake and 'push' beads so that they are able to get in and behind the elastic supports. Pat down the outer fabric of the bag firmly so that beans can shift freely and move down the compartment inside. Once tighly filled (so that it can't get any more beans inside), close the inner gusset bag and outer cover zip.
Step 2. Open seating compartment and attach the Funnelweb or smaller 150lt bag of beads. Zip & Tip letting gravity do most of the work. Keeping the funnelweb attached, flip the bean bag and sit on it to test the filling levels that satisfy your personal comfort levels. When filled to most comfortable level - unzip, close the inner gusset bag and outer cover zip. Keep spare beads in a funnelweb or transport bag for top ups when the beads inevitably compress a little over time.
