Unlike most dog beds filled with loose polyester or basic/thin foam, Ambient Lounge® Rebound Foam Beds feature a 50% thicker, human-grade orthopaedic mattress made from our unique Rebound Foam Mattress System. Dog Owners comment that this is "better than their human bed" and importantly ultra-comfortable for any weight or age dog to sleep on. Unlike most dog beds it will never sink to the ground. The rebound foam mattress is multi-layered with 30% memory foam & 70% high density bedding encased with a bedding sheet & cushioned outer comfort pillow (crushed foam) for the dog to rest its head. This outer pillow allows the dog to feel safe sinking into the bed. These beds are engineered to evenly support your dog’s body weight over time — no sagging, no lumps - ever! However the unqiue feature that customers love the most is that it only takes 10 seconds to change the top cover for washing, which zips on & off with ease. Its designed to go straight into the washing machine with no fuss you can changes covers just like you may do with a human bed. Are ambient lounge rebound foam dog beds chewproof?
While no bed (or any object for that matter) is 100% chew-proof for dogs, Ambient Lounge rebound foam dog beds are designed with the toughest, most chew-resistant waterproof base; that makes biting through this type of bed incredibly difficult. Creating a design with multiple layers from the top cover with strong waterproof backing, then the chew-resistant base, then inside that the pillow casing over the mattress is also further resistance against the ability to chew through the bed and cause damage. The solid aspect of the rebound foam bed also makes it more difficult for the dog to bite & carry the bed or access any loose weak points.
Its always recommended to keep the top covers zipped on for chewers so they do not have direct access to zips. For heavy chewers, caution, supervision, training & redirecting behaviour is recommended. You may add a blanket on top to observe behavior while the bed is new.
